"The Three Of Us" Composition Box

Hello my crafty friends!  I am sharing what will be my last project here with Gina :(  But I have an exciting opportunity ahead and will still share my work through my blog and Youtube when I can :)  I really enjoyed creating this fun piece showcasing the Composition Box by Gina.  This picture was the perfect backdrop for my idea because my favorite number is three!

A few years ago this picture was taken with my daughter (in the middle) and her two cousins at her Birthday party.  How time flies!  I also embossed one of the banners found in the shop and framed the three beauties with a Filigree frame found in the shop as well.

On this side I added a piece of the Texture Sheets in the Swirled Hearts shape.  Just love working with these large sets!

Here is the key that I spritzed up and added to this side.  It has been so much fun working on this team and with Gina's Designs, thank you and God Bless!

Oceans Composition Box

Hello everyone. Shanna here today to share a new product. I altered a Composition Box from the store. This was so much fun to alter. Lately you have been seeing these if you have been stopping by. If not go back through previous post and check out these amazing creations that have been shared.

First I started out by painting all my edges. Then layered everything with paper. I had so much fun altering the chipboard shapes with gesso and Tim Holtz paints.

I am in love with coloring the seahorses.

I had to add a message in the bottle. Although no message I added a little sand in.

I did also create some sand to add underneath the shells which was a fun mess but seashells have to lay somewhere right!

Hope you are inspired grab your Composition Box and create.

"Oh, the places we've been" Compostion Box by Kim

Hello fellow travelers! Today I would like to share with you my Composition Box I have created.  I chose a travel theme for it, to represent all the places my family has been across the globe.  We all love to travel, and I thought it would be fun to represent that with the box.
I really love that you get extra items with this Composition Box, such as the wooden key, which is below right, and also the great little boxes which you can place momentos or photos in.

Gina's Designs also offers a personalized number to represent what you would like to do with your Composition box. I chose the number 10, as that is the number of my husband and I, our 4 children their spouses and our grandson. I wanted this box to show all the places we have been so far on our travels through life, such as England, Scotland, Paris, Germany, Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, Vancouver and several other places in the USA and Canada. We are a family who loves to travel and this box is a perfect way to show it off.
I hope you like my project today, and hope you will get out there and see the world!
Thanks for stopping by!

C-R-E-A-T-E Dovetail Banner by Mary and a Layout by Debbie

First up today is Mary to show you how she has decorated one of our banner kits.  Other styles of banner kits are also available in the store.

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well today. This is Mary and I  have one of Gina's fun banners for you today. This is the C-R-E-A-T-E Dovetail Banner. I have the banner hanging over the area that I keep things I made or that others have made and sent to me. (Excuse the beam - yes my craft room is now in the basement.)

The doilies are from the Doily Box - Sew wall hanging set. I inked them lightly with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen. The letters are embossed and  then attached them to the banner with pop dots.

Thank you for stopping by Gina's blog today!

Next up is Debbie with a 12 x 12 layout and a chipboard technique to share.

Hello Everyone! Debbie with you today to share a fun and quick technique using Gina's Designs Laser Cuts.

The technique I used on this flourished frame was one I have never tried before.  Here's what I did.
1. Painted the frame with aqua/turquoise acrylic paint
2. Outlined the flourishes with Perfect Pearls.  I used Pearly White color
3. I heat embossed the Perfect Pearls which caused them to bubble up and add more texture
4. I went over the dry Perfect Pearls with Versa Mark and used Turquoise embossing powder over the top.
5. I rubbed everything with Inka Gold in Turquoise and Old Silver.

You can see on the layout that I used coordinating cardstock for my photo matting and coordianated my embellishments to match.

I used Gina's Laser Cuts 10" Frame

Hope you enjoyed this technique and thanks for stopping by Gina's Designs Blog today!

Memo Board by Kathi and Composition Box by Melissa

Hello Friends!  Today we have two projects to share, first is another of our August cross promotional projects with Kitty's Scrap Post, and then we're also sharing another version of our Composition Box.

First up today is Kathi who has done an amazing job of combining the paper kit with our chipboard shapes.

Welcome, and thanks for joining me today.  I have decorated one of our memo boards using the French Seamstress digital paper kit from Kitty's Scrap Post along with the vintage seamstress shape set from Gina's Designs.

Full View

I covered the dressforms with the French Seamstress paper, added antique buttons to one
of the spools, then added the spools to the pocket envelope.  I added a metal sewing
machine to the shelf, and spools of thread, then embellished with  flowers.

I added a decorative dress form to the shelf. and also cut the wire dress form out of the paper
line & placed it behind the pincushion by cutting around the pincushion & inserting it.
Lace & trim was added to the top & bottom of the memo board.
Two bottle caps were placed above the dressforms.

Next up is Melissa with her take on our Composition Box.  Melissa chose the number "25" and created a gorgeous Home Decor item to enjoy this Holiday season.

Hi everyone! Melissa here with my version of our composition box.  This heavy chipboard kit comes with 3 smaller boxes to assemble and place within (or on top of) the large box, a wooden key, and a number of your choice.  Create your own project in any theme you'd like, or choose a number to correlate with a special year or a special day.  Anything goes!

To get the shiny gold effect I wanted on the key, I prepped it with gesso, then applied texture paste.  I then painted on some rub n buff, and some Pilot gold ink.  I also rubbed on some gold mica powder, applied glossy accents, then finished it off with some gold leaf in some areas.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Crafty Friends!  Today we have two projects to share.  First up is Nancy with another August cross-promotional project featuring Gina's Designs with printable paper kits by Kitty's Scrap Post.

Hello Everyone!  Nancy here with another cross promotional project pairing Gina's Design's chipboard with digital papers from Kitty's Scrap Post.  This is my third project this month using the awesome papers in the Heartbreak kit.  Today I'm sharing a Paris themed mini album.  There are several more photos of this mini posted on my blog, and the link will be provided at the end of the post.

Above:  The cover was created using fussy cut images from the Heart Break digital paper kit and a Gina's Designs Texture Sheet in Diamond Pattern, deco corners, and the word "Love" from the 10 words set.

Above:  Background papers and images are from the digital paper kit.  Photo book tucked inside pocket featuring a chipboard cameo by Gina's Designs embossed in shabby aged silver.  The page on the right is a split page, with the top half featuring a flip up.

Above:  A flip-up page featuring sentiment,  corset and mirror by Gina's Designs.  Perfume bottle is fussy cut from the digital papers, and also background paper is from the collection.  All design elements are unattached in the photo mat area, so a photo can be slipped onto the mat.

Composition Boxes by Deann and Dianna with Kitty's Scrap Post

Hi Crafty Friends!   Lots of fun to share today.  We have two team members on the blog, both sharing our August Composition Boxes, both members chose a Halloween theme, and both members used the O' Halloween digital scrap papers from Kitty's Scrap Post.  Let's see how different they are!  First up is Deann.

Good morning, Deann here with an awesome Halloween project..
I used the Composition Box and Halloween paper from Kitty's Scrap Post.
This is the Composition Box, I chose the 31 to use with the O'Halloween Paper Set from KSP.
I used the Gothic Chandeliers, I decided to cut it in half and paint it black with white high lights
For the box with the 31 in it, I decided to add a picket fence.I inked the edges with Black soot distress ink.

Bonus Project :)
More of the Halloween KSP Paper

I love all of the tags that come with the Halloween paper so I did another project to use them up.
Its a double pocket made out of orange cardstock.

Next up is Dianna with her version of our Composition Box.

Hello Dianna here, for my take on Gina's Designs Composition Box and cross-promotion with Kitty's Scrap Post.  I used mine to pay tribute to one of my favorite holidays Halloween. All the paper used is from Kitty's Scrap Post's O'Halloween.  I painted the composition box, interior boxes, witch, sign post and the thirty-one with black gesso.

The witch was from Gina's Designs Vintage Ladies Silhouettes Set.  I printed the O'Halloween from Kitty's Scrap Post and misted the back of the paper with water, this allowed the paper to be easily folded. To get an even blending of the skirt and bustle I used some scrap ribbon.  The witches hat was an old die cut. The moon is from Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween glued on a circle from Gina's Designs Spooky Shape Set to give it dimension and inked with Tim Holtz's Distress Ink Black Soot and spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Gold.  The moon was glued onto Gina's Designs Cardstock Doily Set Steampunk.

The Standing Sign was cut from Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween and inked with Tim Holtz's Distress Ink Black Soot.  The sign post was spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Pearl.  The Gina's Designs number 31 was glittered with Stickles - Star Dust. The large paper spider web was made with Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween and cut from QuicKutz WEB die and spritzed with Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist Pearl.

The top box picture was cut out from Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween and the bottom of the picture was cut out to give dimension.  The lady's dress was dotted with Stickles-Platinum and the pumpkin man was outlined with Glossy Accents.  Behind the top box I used three of the Cardstock Doily Set Intricates from Gina's Designs and spritzed two of them with Maya Mist in Lemon Metallic (which is actually an orange color) and one was inked with Tim Hotz Distressed Ink - Black Soot. Around the Cardstock Doily Set Intricates  I used two of the bats from Gina's Designs Spooky Shape Set. The middle box picture was cut out from Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween and spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Gold.

The last box has a key from Gina's Designs Wooden Decorative Keys protected by a Sleeping Dragon Baris stamp from Crackerbox Palace.  The fence was cut down from a larger fence from Gina's Designs Beach Shape Set and painted with black gesso. The spider webs from Gina's Designs Spiderweb Shape Set was inked with Tim Holtz Distressed Ink Black Soot and spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Pearl. The Spiders are from Michaels.

Accordion Mini Album Cross Promotion Kitty's Scrap Post by Brigitte

Hello, it's Brigitte here to share with you my accordion mini album.  I used The French Seamstress digital paper collection from Kitty's Scrap Post as the backdrop for my mini and for Gina's laser cuts.

I loved using the French shape set and the cameo to tie it all together.  I even used a negative cut out from the Pocket Watch Assorted Sizes as the frame for the pretty cameo.  Nothing wasted here :)

I just love doilies and these intricate cuts are so dainty I couldn't leave them out!  I finished off the back with the digi papers to complete the look.  Thanks for stopping by!

xo, Brigitte
